Planted in 1991, these well established vines are able to be dry grown in most years, producing an intensity of flavour not often found.
The unique northern slope of this vineyard allows us to combine a variation of soil types, including deep sands, clay and limestone, which leads to a diverse wine of great complexity.
Soft natural tannins, combined with a rich ripe and round mouth feel are a trademark of our wines, which boast satsuma plum, cherry and licorice notes.
Our patch of Shiraz is nurtured using natural methods, free of any pesticides.
Drink now or cellar for 5 years.
The Monkey Bum Shiraz is named after our eldest daughter, Miah.
The artwork ‘Blue Safari’ is by our favourite UK artist Louise Robinson.
